Yieldlab was founded in Hamburg in September of 2010 as a technology and consultancy company.
Our focus is on the development of software systems for the real-time trading and delivery of advertisements via digital channels. We enable web sites, marketers, media houses and publishers, to strengthen and optimize their business relations with agencies and advertising clients.
As a minority shareholder, Virtual Minds AG became a strategic partner to Yieldlab. Thanks to this collaboration, we have access to over 100 specialists in the areas of software engineering and IT, complementing Yieldlab’s own team of experts.
This allows us to act dynamically, efficiently and quickly in response to our customers’ needs.

Marco Klimkeit
Marco Klimkeit founded his first technology company newtention in the end of the 90s. In the following years, newtention produced a wide range of innovations in the online advertising industry. After selling it to one of the larges Agency-Groups, he founded Yieldlab in 2010 to provide the first Realtime-Bidding and Yield Optimization platform for publishers and media houses in Germany. Marco also served as chairman of the Targeting Workgroup for BVDW (German Association of the Digital Economy). He contributes to technical publications and is speaker at numerous online events, as well as being a well-known supporter of Startups.
Ghanem Awn
As Director of Business Partnerships, Ghanem is responsible for all customer operations, including the management of Yieldlab’s demand and sell-side partnerships. Ghanem has been active for over 8 years in the field of Online Marketing, and is experienced in the areas of Client Service, Key Account Management, Consulting, Product Management and Business Development. At Newtention, he developed the campaign and media management strategies, and later directed their customer service. Prior to joining Yieldlab, Ghanem led the key account management of DQ&A, where he was responsible for European customers, as well as strategic Partnerships with technology vendors such as Google Doubleclick and Brightcove
Gerardo Viedma
Gerardo graduated in 2004 with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science from MIT. He began his career in Silicon Valley, working as a senior Java EE engineer at Oracle and later Hyperic (now VMware). In the last years he has been involved in IT consulting and agile software development at several European technology companies. As Director of Technology at Yieldlab, he leads development and operation activities. His main interests include big data, “DevOps”, and agile software methodologies.
